The BCD registry files located in the active partition or system partition is responsible for describing the mechanism of boot configuration. 1. Repair Windows

The requested system device cannot be found can easily be fixed with an installation media. Since it is not possible to use either a USB drive or USB 3.0 during this error, users have to rely on other installation medias. One such is the CD/DVD or even USB 2.0. 

For repairing Windows,

1. Insert one the installation medias.
2. Boot from them.
3. Open Command Prompt by pressing Shift+F10.
4. Type one of bootrec/fixMbr or bootrec/fixbook or bootrec/Rebuildbcd 
5. Press Enter.

2. Partition Correction 

If the error appears while you use a USB media, most often the problem can be fixed by correcting the partition. In some instances, if the USB device is unable to find the right system partition it can cause this error. By defining the correct partition can be easily resolved.

For correcting partition,

1. Insert one of the installation media.
2. Boot from them.
3. Open Command Prompt by pressing Shift+F10.
4. Type ''diskpart'' and Press Enter.
5. Then type ''list disk''
6. Find EFI partition number.
7. Type Select volume {EFI partition no.}
8. Type assign letter = y or any other letters.
9. Exit the diskpart utility.
10. In the Command Prompt type cd/dy:\Microsoft\Boot\ and bootrec/fixboot and Press Enter.
11. Close the Command Prompt and remove the installation media.
12. Restart the computer.

3. Reinstall O/S

After trying all of the above mentioned methods if still the error persists, the last resort you have no option but to reinstall windows. Even though this method is problematic, still there is no other options. Before reinstalling make sure to back up important files since the data on the drive will be deleted.
